Overcoming Population Bias: Heuristic Pathways to Enhance Smartcard Data with Home Location and Trip Purpose Information

FREE Webinar: Thursday 8 May 2025
10.00-11.00 BST / 11.00-12.00 CEST

The AET is pleased to welcome back Joseph Fenwick, the winner of the prize paper at ETC 2024 in Antwerp, as this month’s TMF webinar speaker. His presentation will delve into his pioneering study using sample data from London, UK, highlighting the importance of recognising trip purposes beyond work and education to better represent all passengers in transport data analysis.

This session will engage attendees interested in mobility data justice, innovations in smartcard data processing, home location detection, and activity-centred trip purpose analysis. The presentation also explores thematic analysis related to night shift workers, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable approach to transport planning.

Let’s come together to exchange ideas and chart a course toward resilient and equitable mobility solutions fit for the challenges of the 21st century.

This webinar will be chaired by Ola Faleti, TMF Working Group Member and moderated by Siamak Khorgami. AET Transport and Mobility Forum webinars are FREE to attend and are hosted on the Zoom platform.
